Gesture drawings

A gesture drawing is work of art defined by rapid execution. Typical situations involve an artist drawing a series of poses taken by a model in a short amount of time, often as little as 30 seconds, or as long as 2 minutes. Gesture drawing is often performed as a warm-up for a life drawing session.

 

 

Body Proportions

Each of you will gain understanding on how to draw a proportionate human.

 

Above are two pictures of proportional male and female bodies. You have to understand that not everyone is proportionate, but in order for your drawing to look good you need to be as accurate as possible.

Please participate in the winter display case that Jessica is putting together. You will receive participation points. YAY! Remember it can be any picture that depicts with time of year.

Also please use your time wisely and finish your grid drawings during study halls before and after school. I am always in my room waiting to see your smiling faces . It is on you to finish your work, I have given you more then enough time to complete your assignment.
